WMU SPRING TEA, 2013

"Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you."
Hebrews 6:14

And surely He did bless us! While our Men's Ministry beautified the grounds,

our faithful Woman's Missionary Union members decorated tables, prepared snacks,

greeted guests and thouroughly enjoyed all the blessings of the day.

Thank God the men were there, as we met with technical difficulties showing the
Christmas Shoebox presentation, but the good Lord sent an audio/visual "angel" to deliver us.
Nel had time to respond to questions while Peter rebooted our system, so it all worked out for the best.

The snacks were all delicious, and the fellowship sweet as 38 ladies,
many of whom were visitors, met with each other and shared quality time and goodies together.

Mrs. Kerry Curley read some beautiful Scripture applicable to WMU's goal of blessing others,
then the wonderful quilt the WMU quilters made for the newly reunited Berry's was presented.

Then came the fun of presenting the door prize. Our designated "number caller" chose '43'
for the number between 1 and 38, so we had her choose again, and this time she chose her own number!
Pastor Alan just happened to be walking by in the hall so we asked him to choose the number.
After some deliberation, he chose number '3', which was most fortunate for our new sister,
Mars, the 'big winner' for the day.

Our beautiful Aunty Julie, always tireless in serving others, especially through the WMU
for many, many years, was found, true to form, washing our dishes in the kitchen with our
new sister, Mrs. Jim ('Mars') Berry.

Praise the Lord, it was a wonderful WMU Ladies' Spring Tea. We pray the new friendships we
made will grow, that our Shoebox ministry will bear much fruit, and that everyone who came
to Puna Baptist Church today was blessed to be a blessing! Amen.
